Perspective (Girl/Women)

 Teenager girl

Hi, my name is Karin and  I am sixteen years old and I go to Aoyamagakuin high school. I believe that dress codes in school are sexist. One day when I was wearing a top with thin straps, one of my teachers told me to put on a sweater because it distracted other students.

A common rule in a dress code is that ladies cannot wear shorts that are higher than their knees. The issue is that women's clothing is not designed to fit this way. Walking around the store, it's quite tough to find shorts that reach the knees and make you feel confident.

Longer shorts are more accessible and flattering on males' bodies. Girls should be able to wear whatever makes them and their bodies feel good.

Another issue with how schools appraise a girl's attire is the way her body is structured beneath the clothes. Two ladies can wear identical clothes, but only one will get in trouble. A girl with a smaller chest region and a skinnier waist, for example, might get away with wearing a tank top, whereas a curvier woman is "inappropriate" for wearing the same clothing.

Nothing is wrong with a clothing code that does not single out young girls and their bodies. It is perfectly natural and should be emphasized that there should be no inappropriate or insulting language on clothing in a school atmosphere.

Adult women

Hi! My name is Lucy and I currently work in America. When I overslept and didn’t have enough time to do my makeup my boss told me to never turn up to work without makeup on.

In general, an employer cannot order female employees to wear makeup, nor may they subject the female employee to a negative employment judgment because she does not wear makeup. This is regarded as sex discrimination. Sex discrimination is illegal under Title VII (7) of the Civil Rights Act, and women who are victims of it can file a claim with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. This law safeguards women from being subjected to gender discrimination. Employers cannot discriminate against employees based on their gender. This includes hiring, laying off, passing up on promotions, refusing benefits, and denying any other employment conditions.
